About SACAM

The South African Conference on Computational and Applied Mechanics (SACAM) is held every two years as a forum for presenting current developments in mechanics. This is the eighth in a series of very successful conferences that have been held in South Africa. Past SACAM conferences have received the attention of both local and international participants and have served as platforms to share, engage and network on state of the art developments in applied mechanics. SACAM2012 will build on that rich tradition, and welcomes participants from all parts of the globe. The main function of SACAM is to bring together engineers, scientists and applied mathematicians from academia, research and industry to encourage scientific engagement and exchange of ideas in applied mechanics.

SACAM2012 will be hosted at the University of Johannesburg in Auckland Park, South Africa

The participation of postgraduate students is most welcome and encouraged.
